How to Check RAM Frequency-Simple Ways to Check IT

Random Access Memory (RAM): a memory used by normal users while doing their work. In simple words, to define RAM, I will give you one example. Suppose you are in an office where you have a table of 24 m^2, then you can place four files at one time on that table. Now compare that table from RAM and the files to data imported from

1. HDD {( Hard Disk Drive ) is generally used for storing music, video, images, and songs. They are generally big. Also, they consume more heat, up to 55 degrees Celsius. Besides, they are slow. Also, they require more electricity.}

2. SSD {(Solid State Drive), as compared to HDD, are small in size, but they have higher speed and require less electricity. Also, they can bear heat up to 70 degrees Celsius, but they can store less space, and they are almost four times costlier than HDD. It is suggested generally to use both HDD and SSD as the files, images, etc. can be stored in HDD and games, editing software can be stored in SSD.}

3. CACHE Memory – Files or folders or searches we search on google store in cache memory as they are very small in size and much faster than both. Suppose the first time on youtube you searched “HOW TO LEARN ENGLISH,” then the second time the moment you will type “HOW TO,” “LEARN ENGLISH” will come automatically, and this is called CAHCE MEMORY.

Therefore whenever we increase the size of the table from 24 m^2 to 48 m^2 size becomes double; therefore will be able to use more than four files at a time. The greater the RAM, the more efficient and multitasking it will be. In easier words, RAM is a short-term memory where data is processed.

Types Of RAM

1. SRAM – Static RAM, a memory set by us and also deleted by us, will not change on its own instead, it will be processed. E.g., When we set a time and date on our pc and laptop, even if we close the laptop or open the laptop after five years, the date and time may show correctly.

2. DRAM – Dynamic RAM, a memory created by us but will be deleted once the computer gets switched off.

NOTE – Currently in use, we have DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, and DDR4. These all are also RAM but with a different name and better performance, and as the name suggests, DDR4 is the latest RAM.

Frequency

The ability of any equipment to do its work in one second is known as frequency. For e.g., in our day-to-day lives, we see 50Hz labels on electric bulbs. So what does that mean? It means that the bulb is starting 50 times in one second. Another good example will be when a moving body is vibrating 100 times in one second, then the frequency of that body will be 100Hz.

RAM Frequency

 It means how fast your computer or RAM is working. They are numbers, for example, 1600Hz, 1800Hz, 2400Hz, 3200Hz, etc.
